Responsibilities

David Grubb oversees PERMA Risk Management Services and J.A. Montgomery Risk Control.

Background

Grubb began his career as the Safety Manager for Lipton Tea before joining A&P Supermarkets as Director of Insurance and Pension Investments. In 1985 as Mayor of Park Ridge, he created the first municipal joint insurance fund in New Jersey.  The next year, Grubb was appointed as New Jersey’s Deputy Insurance Commissioner. Four years later, he acquired PERMA and built the risk management program that covers 65% of the state’s municipalities and local authorities. He merged PERMA with Conner Strong & Buckelew in 2007.

Community Involvement

Grubb served for 10 years as Mayor and Council Member in Park Ridge, New Jersey. He later served as a Council Member in Ridgewood and is currently Chairman of the non-profit New Jersey Safety Institute.
